A massage therapist school is not just there to make sure that a massage therapist has a job or is given certification to operate.  Massage therapist schools all over the country work together so that they can develop standards by which massage therapists can operate.  These standards are kind of like rules and massage therapists should make sure that they offer these standards to their customers or patients.  The standards are taught in the massage therapist school.  So depending what massage therapist school is attended, there will be a different set of standards because there are different institutions who work hard to present their own set of standards to the public.  It is left to the consumer to choose what clinic or massage therapist to go to by looking at the standards that these therapists have learned.
